Hello, and welcome to the Fan Art section, of Kaibacorp5.
We don't have anyone that makes sigs only me and i'm not taking requests right now but all of you users are free to post your art.
Now, 99% of the new people to this forum, simply come to get a banner, which one of the Fan Art section's fine users volunteer to make. They are adept at one of few programs, usually PhotoShop, or even Paint, and they volunteer their time and effort to make signature art for other, possibly less fortunate users, who don't have/can't use those programs.
Most of the time, there will be one or two, maybe more, "request threads," these threads are for mass requests of signatures. It is more polite, and more convenient, to post your requests for art in said threads, rather than start a new topic. the reason for this, is that, although it may seem so, the fan art section is not limited to signatures, and most certainly not for requests either.
If, by chance, there are no request threads open/available, and you are all but forced to start a new thread for your request, there are a few important things that should be addressed/remembered.
Rules of other forums still count here; People seem to believe that, because this forum is used as a Signature resource, that it is a special forum that you can bump your threads and break other rules in, wrong. Bumping your threads seems to be a consistent problem here, this particular forum is rather slow. People will see your thread, they will chose whether to respond or not.
If they choose not to respond, look over your post, there should be a few things there, such as:
1) A vivid description of what you want. If all you say is, "Can you make me a sig," people WILL either ignore you or "flame” you to be more specific, it is wise to do so before posting the thread.
2) Links to the pictures you want. We do not read minds, we do not web-search. We will make you a banner, we will not search the web for something that we don't need ourselves. This is mainly a problem when people say "I want (insert YGO card her) on my banner." I've lost count at how many times I've said, "Not everyone plays YGO," seriously folks, not everyone shares all of your interests.
3) Proper spelling/grammar. If we don't know what you're saying, we can't help you, simple as that.
4) Manners! If you come to a forum that you aren't an avid member of, do not let your first impression be a haughty, obnoxious, twit. Being overly critical, or rude is not a good way to get a banner, or desired attention.
Aproper banner request should look something like the following:
Hello, Vamp, I'd like a banner, please.
I read your sticky, you're the greatest!
Could it have the following:
1)A picture of Hector, he's so badass!
2) Could you make it a blue-ish background? Different variations of blue/green would look cool.
3) Um, I want it to look abstract (as opposed to grungy), be creative.
4) Can it say "Impending Destruction" in a serious font? Like a simple, preset font, maybe? White font, please.
I'll check in every now and then to see if it's ready, thank you in advance!
Although I say "be descriptive," make sure to take away some of the users boundries, so they can actually "make" or "create" a signature. People want to display thier work, and your banner means little to them if it's a carbon copy of 500+ signatures on the same forum.

If you decide to stick around (probably while you wait for your banner), do not spam other's threads. This has been a problem as of late, if someone asks for CC (Construction Criticism), give it to them, or don't post. Things like:
"it sux, 0/10, lolololop"
"ew wtf were u thinking???"
"i could do better wit mah Iz closed!!11"
…will all guarantee that you get unpopular, quickly. Also, it is rude to request a banner on a thread asking for CC, regardless of how "desperately" you happen to need one.
In addition, the sig makers of this forum are people, like you, not your personal GFX slave. They do not slave over Photoshop for other's personal gains, they do have lives, and they do use other forums/websites/etc. Please remember this, it is harassment to PM (constantly, in mass amounts) a banner-maker, also, spamming there thread can be considered harassment too. If a user feels you are harassing them they will probably not make your banner, simple as that. If I were them, I'd probably notify one of the Moderators as well (in extreme cases).
Also, take into consideration the users feelings (yes, those emotions living things have). They will most likely be hurt if they make you a banner and you go ask for another, you should wear it for at least a week*. I have personally witnessed this (I'll refrain from names), it is horrible to put someone down like that, over a picture in a signature, on a forum. And also, only ask ONE person at a time, it is uncalled for to ask every user on thier respecting request threads for the same banner. In clownmaster's words, don't be a sigsleeper.

I hope this was helpful to all the new users here, and I hope it makes your stay in this section a better experience because you read this, for the both of us.
